You guys!! The Academy Awards are NEXT Sunday! I absolutely love the month of February thanks to Valentine’s/Galentine’s, Jon and I’s halfiversary (it’s a thing), and the Oscar’s! Jon and I are self-proclaimed movie critics and we absolutely love seeing as many of the nominations as we can every year. Last year I decided to not only pick what I think will win a few of the categories, but I also laid out which movies were actually worth your time. Unfortunately, that is a bit of a short list this year. Although there weren’t a ton of great movies this year, the ones that were good were some of the best I’ve ever seen. So let’s get our glam dresses on and the popcorn popped! x

MOVIES WORTH WATCHING (IN ORDER OF MY FAVORITES)

- Bohemian Rhapsody
My only hesitation with this is that I haven’t seen Roma, If Beale Street Could Talk, and The Favourite yet (planning on cramming them in this week!). I have heard amazing things about all three of those movies. But here’s the thing, if you’re going to watch any of these movies… watch the top 3. Each is so unique in its style and message and they are all absolutely stunning. BlacKkKlansman is easily in my top favorite movies of all time list. And there’s a reason the whole is freaking out about A Star is Born… it’s that good. The one movie that literally everyone can’t help but love is Green Book. You simply can’t help but feel encouraged and joyful once you’ve finished watching it.
While this may have been a light year for the Oscar’s this year, it doesn’t mean that it was a bad one for the ones that were nominated. Go and see some of these movies and don’t miss the Oscar’s on February 24th at 8 PM EST!
